I have a problem with online banking and other secure sites. I am in a dual wan setup right now and as i surf the net it constantly swaps back between my 2 wan addresses. whatsmyip.org if i refresh constantly will come up constantly with one address and suddenly switch to another and then back and forth for a while.

when i try to do some online banking, i assume the validate a session with a cookie that is tied to one of my ip addresses. I often receive invalid session messages from the bank.

I have found a workaround for this by assigning all web traffic through a specific wan address (i.e. set up a Protocol binding in the system management tab)

this is not an ideal solution because if one of our internet connections goes down it does not default back to the other internet.

    Is there a better solution?

You pretty much are using the solution that I have used for the past few years. In more detail, just set all HTTPS (ports 443 & 8443) to WAN1. In load balance mode, if WAN1 fails it should automatically switch over to WAN2.

BTW, I use the same technique for FTP and NTP.

    Good luck.
