I'm using the RV042 as an internet gateway, and I want to be able to wake up PC's on the LAN from a remote internet PC.

Does anyone in here know if / how the RV042 is capable of forwarding WOL Magic Packets?

Simply put, I'm in need of forwarding to a broadcast address, but that's not allowed in web gui.

Is this possible in a RV042 telnet session?

Your best bet would be to run something like IIS on one of your internal machines that is always on, use a .NET or .COM component that sends the WOL ping packet out on your internal network.

I'm not familliar with the actual WOL packet, but I'm pretty sure it's a broadcast packet, which I would be incredibly suprised if the firewall or any NAT device allowed it through
