I've just set up a couple of RV042 in Dual WAN Failover mode in Router mode. Seems to work fine ..... except:

    WAN1 points to a router / gateway
WAN2 points to another router / gateway

When WAN1 is active, one can ping from the LAN side of the RV042 to the gateway.

When WAN2 is active, one can't ping from the LAN side of the RV042 to its gateway. It's as though the packets are being dropped in the RV042.
But, at the same time, one can ping from the Diagnostics in theRV042 to the same gateway.

What I want to do is reach the control panel via http on the gateway device from the LAN side of the RV042.

I had a strange issue with WAN2 VPN, as well. For some reason the VNC connection was not working correctly, through one tunnel, but were working fine through the other on the same WAN2 port. There were some issues with DNS, as well. I did solve the problem through a change WAN2 from PPPoE to Static IP. Everything is working fine, for now.

But, I did have another problem with another v1 RV042 working with the same firmware. This time in dual WAN mode I was unable to get WAN2 to work correctly on both DHCP and static IP. The WEB interface was getting unresponsive when working with WAN2 connected. I had to unplug WAN2 and reboot the router through power cycle. This time The issue was solved by degrading the firmware to It seems, there are some issues with WAN2 in the newest firmware.
