I have the router with a subnet of 192.168.2.x and two client VPN connections with different ip addresses amd I can ping from each of the clients to the 192.168.2.x and back from and device on this subnet to each VPN client. I can't go client to client though. Is this a rv042 or client side routing issue? Can I correct this?

Each of the clients are using Shrew's IPSec VPN client software.

you can go to client to client? ie ping? your firewall is probably blocking ICMP replies.

if you want to "see" the other PC via RDP or its drives you wil need to enable RDP and also share folders or drives. you may also not be able to use "names" (DNS, WINS etc) due to limitations of VPN. use the IP address instead of DNS names to get round that issue.
