Ok, I've spent all day on this and I'm so close, I can't believe it.

First I tried to connect using the QuickVPN software, but I got stuck on the dreaded "verifying network" screen and eventually gave up. I then toggled on the PPTP server and was able to connect with the WinXP VPN client.

The only problem is I can only see the router, nothing in the domain. When I do an ipconfig on the remote computer the gateway is shown as the same IP as the remote computer itself. I checked the log and get this message:

VPN Log Initial Main Mode message received on but no connection has been authorized. Please check your tunnel endpoint (gateway) setting

I've looked and looked but can't figure out a way to change the gateway. I shouldn't need to set up the server as a VPN server since the Linksys can handle that, right?

    GRRRRR, I'm sooooooooo close!
