RV082 losing internet connection

    A couple of times a day I lose internet connection with the RV082. I found that I could still connect to it ( and do a restart and then all computers in the house are fine for a while until the router loses connection again.

    I believe I ruled out the cable modem as a restart of the router fixes the problem temporarily. Even though I guess the cable modem could be doing something to the router. However, I never have to reboot the modem, only the router. I have the latest firmware on it and have also set it back to the factory defaults and re-inputted what I needed. But the problem persists. This router was rock solid until a couple of weeks ago.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Hi Doug,

    I have a RV082 with fw and experience the same thing.
    Loss of IN-connection. I can access the RV082 through the web-interface and
    restart and then everything works fine again.
    The interval of this is about once a day.

    Disturbing of course, what I will try to do is to save my settings and then make a complete hardware reset
    of the box by pressing the reset button. Pressing it long enough the vram
    memory should also be cleared from what I understand. Then I will reload my settings.
    I let you know if it this will help, else I suppose we have to revert to old fw and wait for
    an update.

    Continuous IN-connection so far 3 days and 7 hours.
    An improvement for me anyway...

    Before one year i have RV082 with old firmware and dont have any problems.Now i have routerboard with Mikrotik and am very happy.Sorry for my bad english.
