I had a rock-solid BEFSR41 10/100 router, and upgraded to the RVS4000. However, when I establish a new pptp network connection in windows to my workplace, and run a remote desktop session, the connection is not stable.

The remote desktop will show the "failed connection" icon if I don't remain active in the remote session for about 10-20 seconds. If I then give the remote session focus and click around, the remote desktop session will sometimes reconnect.

And then intermittently the PPTP connection itself will just drop out and I can't resuscitate Remote Desktop until I've reconnected manually.

I've switched back to the 10/100 router and everything is solid as a rock again.

Any ideas? Do I need to throttle down the RVS4000 to work with plain vanilla MS PPTP?
