RVS4000 limited speed

I have a 24mbit internet connection, and with 1.1.09 I had no problems with speed if I just disabled IPS. It was stable and working at speeds above 2Mb/s, with IPS it's limited to ~800kb/s.
Couple of days ago I had to restart the router (seems to needed once every month), and after the restart I couldn't get it to work at full speed again. Usually I just have to enable and disable IPS and that's it. But now it's like the IPS won't turn off and stays limiting speed at ~800kb/s.

So I checked for new firmware on the linksys website. And found that the new rescue utility comes with 1.1.11. I was wondering why that firmware wasn't available separately, but I see here that 1.1.11 is still beta?!

Anyway, with 1.1.11 it's the same, can't get it back to normal full speed. It just stays limited at ~800kb/s. Tried disabling lots of stuff, firewall options and all IPS options as well. After reading here that 1.1.11 is still beta, I now returned to 1.1.09, but it just won't go back to normal full speed.

1.1.11 WAS beta when we released it. since the introduction of the firmware utility then I cannot see 1.1.11 being beta at all. linksys.com themselves do not release beta firmware from their website.

IPS will always slowdown speeds as the incoming data packets have to be scanned before then are forwarded on.

Okay, so 1.1.11 seems out of beta then, just not available as separate download yet.

But I think you misunderstood me. I understand why IPS slows stuff down, that's why I always have it disabled. After the restart I can't get it back to normal, it stays limited at 800kb/s and that's with IPS disabled.
Before the restart I had speeds over 2mb/s. I simply want that back, but no matter what I try it stays limiting the speed, as if IPS is still enabled.

Issue resolved, turned out to be something else on the network. So idiotic though, had the exact same symptoms I get when enabling IPS. :/ Ah well, just glad it all runs normal again.
