I've been thinking about a RVS4000 for some time, but it seemed like a poor choice with all the problems. Now with firmware 1.1.09 is it time to purchase?

    the release notes show.

Please reset the router to factory default after upgrading the firmware and configure the router from scratch.

no one as yet has confirms they done this. linksys have ask me to make sure users have done this when upgrading to this version of firmware.

If you're going to deploy it in a mission critical area, you might want to wait. They've made a LOT of improvements with 1.1.09, but there are still a few quirky bugs with some of the features (see the beta release thread in this forum for 1.1.09, I've posted several bugs).

If you don't care much about QOS, you'll probably be fine. Only thing you should really worry about is lan <-> wan throughput. A lot of folks have complained that they can only get ~ 10 - 12 Mbps. I only have 8Mbps cable internet, so its not even a question for me.

Overall the router cooks and has a ton of great features. I'm very happy with it for home use.
