    what should i buy?
a WRT54G and a WMP54G are already in use and i want to connect a 2nd pc to my wlan.

so what should i buy the usb oder pci version?
is there any difference between these 2 versions? (performance, range, ...)

It really depends on what you want, and there is no straight answer, but there are technological and physical constraints you may or may not be aware of.

To achieve 802.11g performance out of a WUSB54G, you need full USB2.0 support (hardware and OS) on your computer, else performance is no different to that of a 802.11b adapter (USB1.x just doesn't have the bandwidth to handle the extra speeds offered by 802.11g). Not all is bad about the WUSB54G - there is an advantage of having a USB cable attached to the unit, thus giving you the flexibility to move the unit about to improve reception, whereas the default antenna of a WMP54G is stuck at the back of the computer, not very good for reception if the computer is sitting underneath the desk against the wall.
