    I have a wireless Buffalo router hooked to a dsl modem, and I also have a wrt54g flashed to firmware v4.70.6 – HyperWRT 2.1b1 + Thibor11.

I need the Linksys to wirelessly connect to the Buffalo router. How can I do this?

The Buffalo WBR2-G54 is behind a DSL PPoE modem. The Buffalo lan side IP is, subnet, security is WEP TKIP. DHCP is enabled with ip from

The remote Linksys is set to default settings and is hard wired to a laptop.

What settings should I set the Linksys to so I can access the internet on the laptop wired to the Linksysy?

Currently I have it set to “Wireless Ethernet Bridge,†with the same SSID as the Buff, and on the same channel.

that mode (also called client bridge) is exactly what you need.
is it not working? if not, what are the symptoms?
it might take a bit of experimentation to get the security settings to agree on both sides though.
