Currently, I use the vpn server built into windows (available in windows xp and up)
It works well in that it is extremely easy to setup, (basically making up a username and password and windows does the rest of the work in dealing with other aspects of VPN and encryption.

I mainly use the VPN when ever I use public wifi and both my leptop and windows mobile based pocket PC are able to connect to the VPN, but windows limits you to 1 VPN connection

I was wondering if there is a way to setup a simple VPN for the router that will allow 2 clients to connect (hoping to do my laptop and windows mobile PPC).

open vpn doesn't seem to be the best solution because of the complexity of the setup, especially on the client side.

My ultimate goal is to have a simple VPN setup that will allow novice users to easily connect to my VPN in order to have a group of users connect and do some "LAN" games with out worrying about the issues with hamachi where ip's can vary enough that many games will not allow users to connect.

    tl dr:

Is there a extremely simple way to set up a vpn, that will allow multiple novice clients to connect for the purpose of gaming (with out using hamachi)
