I've done some searching and haven't come up with any good answers for this.

I am looking to run a simple SMTP Relay. i.e. a daemon that runs listens on 25 then forwards this over to 587 over SSL + Login Authentication.

Is this possible on tomato, are there any smtp relays out there and do they support SSL?

This requires a full MTA solution and would not be appropriate for a SoHo router solution with limited RAM.

Fair enough, just wishful thinking! :)

Tomato doesn't even have a simple smtpclient - but you can easily run one off /jffs, but I've never found one that works with secure connections

There is a sendmail function available in the recent BusyBox, but it is not normally enabled. Victek did a special build for me once, but I couldn't get it to work with gmail, but this post suggests I should try again sometime:-

Is the Tomato openssl up to it?
