uplink is the speed that your computer sends data to websites.
downlink is the speed your comp recives data.

yes you can control the speed for the computer. you can control all the compters on the netowrk using the qos feaure unless you specify wich comuters get what speed.

Thanks for clearing this up for me , now i need to find out how to set it up so one computer is limited on 2megs download and 384kbps upload and the other to 2megs download and 128kbps upload! You see my problem?Have no idea how to do that(by the way i found out the MAC adresses and IP-s of the two comps connected). Now where do i have to enter this values cause all this settings frankly confuse me.Sorry for asking this kind of idiotic questions but like i said i am new to all this and the manual that came with the router doesn't really explain all this settings for idiots like me.Thanks again for the reply!!!

    Sorry, I have a Newbie-question to QOS I don't understand yet:

If I use VOIP with a ATA-Adapter (Sipura) on port 2 of my Linksys WRT54G and I don't want any problems while Downloading/Uploading & VOIP, I should use QOS.
    I don't understand how I configure QOS.
For example I set the Upstream Bandwith to 100% - 80kbit/s=for example 100kbit/s,

where the 80kbit/s should be the bandwith, which should be reserved for VOIP with the ATA-Adapter (Port2).

Then I should set at "Ethernet Port Priority" Port2 = High priority and Flow Control=enabled ?

I can't understand this, in my opinion this means that the bandwith is limited to 100 kbit/s (in this example).
Port2 shared this bandwith with other but with higher priority.
But this means, that the 80kbit/s (100%=180 kbit) is outstanding and isn't in use.
In my opinion it would be more logical to set bandwith to 100kbit/s
and Port2 is disabled, because it should use 100% of the rest bandwith.

    The question is:
    Should I implement VOIP Port2=High =Flow Control=enabled or not?

I tried both and I didn't see any difference.. sorry
If I transfer email with files VOIP gets broken...

    Hope you understand my explanation...
