I am running HyperWRT 2.0 on my linksys, and the router is used for my fraternity house. I am pretty much the only person who lives at the house with any computer know how, so I am going to try to fix the problem.

Alot of the guys are experiencing slow connections, and I have determined that a few registry tweak will help allow their max # of connections, ect.

Also, everyone in the house needs to download a certain mail client, and instead of sending out an email telling them step by step where to go and what to click to download, or them just putting off getting the email client, i would like to be able to setup up the router to connect them to the file when the log-on to the network.

So is there anyway I can setup/write a script that can download my .reg file and .exe for the email client? I would like for it to automatically execute the .reg file for sure, so I can put an end to the complaining. If anyone knows how to, or if its even possible to download and file and possibly execute it once someone connects to the network i would really appreciate the help!

Meh, that sounds kinda shady....load a .reg and .exe when they connect? Me thinks your up to more than that...

tbh the simple way would be to email the link and tell them to get on with it. making the script etc if it did work would be more time consuming.
