According to Linksys tech support, there is a "list" of supported printers that are compatiible with the WPS54GU2 print server on a Linksys wireless network. I am hearing the horror stories, but don't know what to do next. I am setting up a system for a SOHO using Linksys wireless router, one desktop(hard wired) and 2 wireless laptops...and want to purchase this pesky WPS54GU2, not sure if I am getting over my head..

Color laser printer is preferred by the customer (any brand, really) , but at this point any color printer (inkjet, of course) will do.

Has anyone compiled this... "list"..., or can suggest maybe a "better" wireless print server for this SOHO??? or what is working for you, and any "tweaks" you can suggest (Windows XP, all aound)

There is a running list in a Sticky post at the top of this forum.

You may want to go with the WPS54G rather than the U2, since it has updated firmware and will support WPA security while the U2 does not.

Be advised that the WPS54G has a USB2 port, while the WPS54GU2 has both a parallel port and a USB2 port. The WPS54U2 is more difficult to set up and it only supports WEP. The WPS54G supports both WEP and WPA-PSK TKIP.
