    Thibor -

What's the best firmware upgrade procedure from version to version of your firmwares? Does one need to 'erase nvram' first or hold the reset button for 30 sec. to clear the nvram and then upgrade?

I'm concerned that the NVRAM variables change from version to version so the backup configuration is pretty much useless and also if one doesn't start with a clean NVRAM, it will be soon cluttered with useless entries.

When can we expect a somewhat stable use of variables and only code changes so that we can use the backup configuration from version to version. I personally am sick of entering my entire config with each new version :(

    Thanks for listening.

Ah, the sticky is new. Very useful indeed. That's what I thought ... 'erase nvram' before and after the firmware upgrade seems to be the way to go (faster than wasting 1 min. holding down the reset button :) )
