Hey all, I've been using the Thibor firmware for some time now and I really love it.

I was just wondering if it's possible to use a WRT54G to connect to a wireless network in WET mode and let it act as a AP as well.
I've seen the WDS and AP option, and I know that would work. Problem is, I cannot change the settings on the wireless network that i'm trying to connect to.

To give you the details, I live really close to my school. I have the WEP key and all, and I have managed to connect to it in WET mode. I could use another AP and connect that to the WRT, but that's not what I want to do.

A good question would be, why don't you just connect wirelessly to the school's network with your laptop. That's because the signal isn't that strong. I'm using an antenna on my WRT54G to connect.

i'm afraid that simultaneous WET and AP mode are just not possible. your only option would be to install another WRT or AP and connect wirelessly using that

Thank you for your quick reply. I guess I'll go out and buy another then :)
