Hi everyone. I have been reading on here for quite awhile, but this is the first time I have posted anything. Well, my problem is this: I flashed Thibor15c to my WRT54GS v2 and now I cant connect wirelessly when secured. I am trying to use WPA2 Personal with AES and a PSK. When trying to connect it simply keeps saying, "Waiting for network".

I was using Thibor14 with the same setup and everything was fine, but now it is all messed up. When I leave my connection unsecured I have no problem, but seem to lose the connection every so often. Any idea what is going on?

Yes, I did clear NVRAM and restored factory defaults when I flashed the update.

I have experienced the same issue with Hyperwrt15c. Followed the instructions to the letter, roll back and it works fine. However with the new firmward if I try to enable MAC filtering with WEP, I never get an IP.

More disturbing, I cannot get WEP to work without MAC filtering either.

More detail, the router indicates a 10 digit HEX key is 64bit, my PC states 10 digit HEX key is 40 bit.

    Help anyone?

I am limited to using MAC filtering, but I need both WEP and MAC filtering enabled??

I have no trouble with WPA2 and MAC filtering enabled.
WEP and MAC filtering doesn't get me in trouble either.

No problem here with WPA2 Personal TKIP+AES and MAC filtering either

Using G-only (with transmit power at 18mW only), XP PRO Dell non speedbooster Laptop with Windows managing connection.

Suggest you read the MAC filtering options carefully - the default is to block listed addresses (I found out the hard way!)!

As you say thibor 14 works fine, what reason did you need to upgrade then? if your so concerned that 15c is broken (yet others have no problem) then use Thibor14.

I simply wanted to fix my problem. I would like to use the newer, 15c if I can get it to work. I was just asking if anyone knew what I may be doing wrong. I didnt mean anything offensive by it. Sorry if it came across that way.

When I have tried to connect to my router using WiFi, I have occasionally gotten the message "Waiting for network". Upon investigation, I found that I had bungled setting the password. The router and laptop passwords were different.

A friend's laptop could only do TKIP encryption. With the Router set for AES encryption, he also received the "Waiting for network" message.
