I have wrt54gs v.2 with v1.05.6 - HyperWRT 2.1b1 + Thibor12 and I would like to know if it's safe to upgrade from this one to thibor 14 (not same code pattern, 4.70).
Is it better that I first upgrade with last linksys original fw ?

You should be able to do a straight upgrade to that one. I think flashing to Linksys stock firmware then back to Thibor would add more (though insignificant) risk because you're looking at TWO flash cycles instead of one.

I did it on two GS v1.1's ... no probs at all. Held my breath, but didn't even do a NVRAM reset. Excellent, fast stable, reliable stuff.

The updates seem to go a heck of a lot faster now (than with Linksys and old HyperWRT F/W) and as someone mentioned, page changes, saves & reboots are also quicker.

    Thibor's a gem.
