Thread Hyjacking

    Okay everyone, I guess its time to remind people about forum etiquette related to thread hyjacking. If you have a question related to a thread you are reading, start your own thread and paste a link for reference. It is not okay to jump in and take over a topic that was not started by you even if you believe it is not off topic. Hyjacking is counter productive to discussions in the forum. Additionally, if you are trying to get help you will receive a better response if you start a new thread.

    How about not having almost as many stickies as normal threads on page 1? That would decrease the amount of thread-hijacking, too.

    some of the thread splitting seems overly enthusiastic, conversations get ripped apart and stuff gets moved out of threads that kinda does fit to the topic a lot...

    Perhaps but when a thread becomes almost 100 pages it becomes useless and is usually the result of a couple different discussion taking place.

    Oh well. Only way to discourage hijacking is to yank the posts out and place them in a separate thread.
