I'm looking for any confirmation that tinyPEAP has been tested successfully on the new WRT54GL. I still can't find it on the linksys website or in stores but I've seen it online. Given the great inconvenience involved if I brick it and have to return it to an online distributor, I would like to see any feedback from anyone who has tried this setup. I've been searching for info on this for several weeks now and have posted everywhere I can. I don't want to waste my money on some other vendor, but if I can't get a response soon, I may have to.

    TinyPEAP on WRT54GL a failure

As of this post, tinyPEAP does NOT work on WRT54GL routers.
Today I made 3 different attempts to upgrade to the TinyPEAP firmware that resulted in brickings that could only be recovered by putting a jumper on the flash chip. The method I was forced to use was to flash the router with dd-wrt mini generic firmware, and then attempt to load the tinyPEAP firmware after that. dd-wrt load flawlessly, but tinyPEAP causes the router to go into an unrecoverable reboot cycle. A tcpdump shows the router attempting to arp for it's own IP. Aside from that and the forever blinking power light, you'd never know the router was doing anything at all. Until tinyPEAP comes out with a firmware revision newer than the one that was released back on 4/9/2005, there will be no tinyPEAP for the WRT54GL owners.

Anyone else feel let down here?
