With the brand new 4.70.6 firm for WRT54GS v2 we have more options in "security wireless" like WPA / WPA2 personnal or enterprise, WEP RADIUS etc.
When I tune up WPA with AES settings all is ok, same with WPA2 and TKIP+ AES I have "AES" signal and connection, but if I tune WPA2 with AES only = no signal, no connection...
    Questions : AES is not WPA2 ? Why TKIP+AES ? :drinking:

WPA2 uses CCMP instead of MIC for message integrity. It's perfectly possible to use WPA with AES, as AES is an encryption algorithm.

It sounds like your laptop doesn't support CCMP. Just use WPA with AES & TKIP unless you have a RADIUS server...

Is it possible to use that 4.70.6 (meant for the WRT54GS) on a WRT54G? They are nearly identical hardwarewise and 3rd party FW for the G model are based on the 4.70.6 so I assume that should work? I read reports of the 4.70.6 being a very perfomant firmware.
