I have installed the tomato firmware on my Linksys wrt54gl.

Can anyone tell how me to to reset it back to the original firmware or point me in the direction of some information that may help me. I presume its not as easy as holding down the reset button.

You have erased the original firmware and replaced it with Tomato firmware. Now do the opposite: Download the original firmware to your PC and then "upgrade" just like you upgraded to Tomato on your WRT.

Why would you want to do that? You get everything that Linksys firmware has in Tomato, plus loads more!

Thanks for the replys guys.

I'm giving the router to someone who is afraid of anything linux and is not exactly tech savvy. As far as I'm concerned its the best router i have ever used and easy to operate too. I'll try convince him to keep it one more time...

I may be wrong, but I think the Linksys firmware is Linux based also, but has some unresolved problems. I would remain with the latest Tomato firmware as it doesn't require any unnecessary attention once installed and setup properly.
