    Hi everyone,
is there any chances for a release that will work on TP-LINK TL-WDR4900 in the near future? I allready upgrade my subscription to a 1000 mbps and I don't think that my old ASUS RT-N16 can handle properly such a WAN speed connection.
For the moment I have 2 options, TP-LINK TL-WDR4900 or ASUS RT-N66U, but I'm leaning to first one, of course, for being at an affordable price, a powerfull processor and a similar performance.
I saw that there's a DD-WRT option for TP-LINK, but I'm acustomed to Shibby's Tomato and that DD-WRT release have always problems with random crashes.
I know that there's a much more interest in Broadcom SOC's, but i saw interest in other SOC's too.
    Thank's for your answers.

TL-WDR4900 is Atheros based so no support from Tomato.
If you want 1Gbs then you have to choose professional equipment.

Both routers can handle that speed, well, almost... I think somewhere around 940 mbps. I don't think x86 is something bad, but definitely can be more expensive to build or I should pay a monthly bill for electricity that is not in my budget.
