Traffic monitoring with WRT54G based on dd-WRT frimware

  1. Hi Folks,

I'd like to have a traffic monitoring wich provides me with the information about which computer on the LAN/WLAN has caused which part of the WAN-traffic of the WRT54G.

I played around with the "rflow collector". It seems to do the job quite well. The only thing is, it runs on MS-OS. My computer running MS-OS doesn't run 24x7 but my Linux based webserver does. Is there a similar tool like "rflow collector" running on Linux?

I also tested ntop which collects a huge amount of data. The problem is, that ntop seems not to save the traffic data for a computer, when the computer is disconnected from the network e.g. switched off.

I've also installed WRTbwlog on my WRT54G. This is a nice tool however I didn't figure out, how I can obtain the information of which computer has caused which portion of the WAN traffic.

Has there anybody an idea for a solution?

I'm looking forward for any reply and say thanks in advance.

    Best regards
