I would like to overclock my Wrt54GL the broadcom chip is being cooled by a geforce single slot cooler and it's very cool so i would like to boost the performance a bit... I bricked my Wrt54GS by overclocking so now i would like the exact nvram comands and a list of supported clocks.
    I'm runing thibor 15c.
Plus is it worth building a JTAG interface to try and debrick the wrt54gs, I made an error and overclocked it to 220 MHz and it wouldn't boot, i tryed everything, shorthing pins, grounding pins, but i simply can't get an answerd ping so i could tftp the new firmware...

tbh overclocking will not improve the chipset enough to worry about. the only WRT that needs to be overclocked is the WRT54G v2.2 since it had some sort of incompatability issue with its RAM.

it would seem foolish to overclock another router knowning full well what the outcome will be in the end.

most people learn by their mistakes.

You can try the "freezer trick" to unbrick the one you ruined. I rescued a GS v1.0 this way.

I recommend cracking the shell and leave the board bare. Simply stick it in the freezer 10-15 minutes and get it nice and cold. Then bring it out, plug it in and quickly reset the clock to normal speeds.

Now unplug it and let it return to room temp the normal way. I recommend to use a towel to make sure all condensation is soaked up before you plug it in again, don't want water shorting it out.

    nvram set clkfreq=200
i did this once, the only way that i could recover it was via jtag
