thanks, that did it, i am now having another problem and i have searched the forums but unable to find anything, i have a zyxel 660 dsl modem and using a wrt54g router with dd-wrt v23 sp2 and i am trying to access my router through the wan but the modem has routing built in it and i am not sure what to do now. i have tried to just bridge the modem but was unsuccessful. i have a dyndns.org address and can access my modem through the net but i don't know how to bypass the modem to get to the router.....basicallly i want the end result to be able to access my wired pc (off the router) from the net. if any body has anything or an better idea i am up for it, i have been trying to do this for the last five days now.!!

then you need to port forward whatever port you are going to use to get to that pc. First you will port forward to the ip of the wrt then port forward the wrt to the pc. Half-bridge mode would be easier but the above will work.

still unable to get it to work i must not have something right. Because when i try to port the ip address to the router it doesn't work. i still get the modem web page when i use the .org address.
