Looking for help with a problem. I installed an RVS4000 for a client this week with the intent of using QuickVPN so he can work from home. I tested the VPN by connecting a laptop to the internet via a Sprint Connection Card. QuickVPN worked perfectly! I was pleased.

BUT when I went back to my office and tried to connect to the same router with the same session from the same computer, it failed. It appears that something in my WRT54G firewall is preventing the connection. Now I have browsed the support forums for hours and tried all the usual things.

The router is setup to have port forwarding enabled for several ports required for MS Small Business Server. So 443, 25, 21, and several other ports forward to the IP address of my server.

I tried disabling all these rules and still could not connect to the remove VPN server.

I have VPN passthrough enabled for all the VPN types. My wife can easily connect to her company VPN (Nortel and Cisco) from behind the WRT54G.

I have not called Linksys yet. My understanding is this "should just work" no matter that I'm behind a firewall.

And yes, Windows Firewall is turned off on the laptop.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
