Unbrick BEFSR81v2

I have a BEFSR81v2 that was bricked about 2 years ago, and would like to make an attempt at unbricking it. This would be my first attempt at reviving a router, and I'm pretty much doing it to say I did. Although, if it works, I'd like to put this router back on my LAN (I have a BEFSR81v3, and it sucks compared to v2).

It ran fine during its active life, but then started freezing. Upon reboot it wouldn't respond to anything, and the link lights would light dimly on connected ports (as if blinking very rapidly).

I have managed to open the router and discover the J2 header connection on the board is an iCARD diagnostic/simulation port, which has JTAG connections.

Anyone have any info on how to attempt this?
