Hi, I have a WRT54GL Linksys router, and I want to upgrade only because my uTorrent Client goes relly slow.
And I read a FAQ in uTorrent that says that the original firmware of Linksys have a problem with NVRAM.

I like to upgrade with hyperWTR Thibor 15 C, and I have some questions.
    On hyperWTR.org site it doesn't mention WRT54GL, only WRT54GS and WRT54G.

    is that correct?

But because of my curiosity I download a file called: Hyperwrt_G_Thibor15c.zip from http://www.thibor.co.uk/.

The file inside the zip is: Hyperwrt_G_Thibor15c.bin, and the size is:
    3.421.184 bytes

I read somewhere that the original firmware have a limitation on the size of the firmware.
    How can I upgrade then?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Best Regards

The GL is just a WRT54G v2 rebadged if I recall correctly.
It's sold specially to install 3rd party firmwares.
Thibor 15c should work with it without any problem.
Just try to update the firmware using the web interface.

It you haven't flashed Thibor yet, its a good idea to do a "30sec reset" before and after the flash.
If you've already done it, it's probably still a good idea to do one.
Have fun Thibor is rock solid.

    Hi low-WRT.
No I didn't flash thibor yet.

What suposse to do the "30 sec reset" ? I understand that you mean to press the reset buton in the back of the router for at least 30 seconds.
This will back the router to the factory default?
When you do this after being flashed to another firmware, it go back to linksys firmware ??
    sorry but I'm really newby.

    Best Regards.

You've got it right...With the power on, hold the reset button down for 30 sec.
    Flash the new firmware (Thibor)
    Do the reset again.

It just clears all saved settings, to return to factory defaults. The firmware stays the same.
