    Thank you brainslayer, i will give dd-wrt a shot again :D .
Hope you had a nice christmas and that you didnt work too much :) .

Edit: Its up and running now :cheer: . But i think that i found a bug... first i set "Wireless Network Mode" to "G-Only" as i alwas do but then no computers could connect. I had to set it to "Mixed" and now everything seems to work fine.

Works perfectly.....did the whole 'start from scratch' thing (erasing nvram, back to linksys's own fw, then on to this version), and it works for me!! even the UPNP disabled bug has been fixed in this for me..

Thankyou very much BrainSlayer, Happy Christmas and all the best for the new year, to you, and your family, and also to all the other linksys users out there :D :drinking:

thx , but I have a probleme , I can't access to the router by Telnet even I enable the telnet option it the web gui :(

and I want to know , how to see firewall script on the router because I put a script , but i can't check if the script was taken by the router
  18. mazilo

    mazilo Network Guru Member

I know DD-WRT does support a SSH session, but I really dont' know if DD-WRT does support a telnet session. If you meant SSH when you said telnet, then there must be something wrong with your router configuration.
  19. Kamui1407

    Kamui1407 Network Guru Member

finally I solved my telnet problem , you must put "root" for login instead of "admin" and your router "password" in order to access in telnet :thumb:

oki I'm now in telnet in the router , which commands I'd tape to see my firewall script ??

    I'm newbs with iptables :(

I hate to report this but it should be noted that v23 final has what might be considered a security bug.

In the default configuration Remote Management is enabled and functional, even if you have not changed the default password!

It's not the end of the world since you can easily disable the Remote Management feature on the Administration page but it's definitely something to be aware of! So just to repeat:

And as a general tip: ALWAYS remember to set a strong password for your router!

Reported in the DD-WRT bugtracker as bug 551

If u used fwbuilder or stored the firewall script in the nvram use nvram show | more to see the stored stuff.

still counting the kisses and thanks here :)
why does nobody kiss me in real life here. anyway. tomorrow "silvester" i will be in leipzig at the big "The Cure" Night in the "Villa". so if someone near this town he can celebrate a real party with me. my car is full of vodka, whiskey, champagne and red vine. too much to drink it alone

    Good Job.

    I bought a WRT54GS (version 2.1) yesterday. Immediately flashed with dd-wrt v23.

Everything works very well. Set up a PPTP server. Worked first time.

    Very good job!

I see more and more people reporting problems with the SIPatH that only delivers a 1-way audio. I already filed a bug report, yesterday, and hope this issue will soon be investigated.

  40. BrainSlayer

    BrainSlayer Network Guru Member

no. the server reached the 1 TB traffic limit.

the voip issue is just a configuration issue of your phone. sipath has never problems here

I just got a WRT54GS v2.0 from eBay to replace my perma-bricked WRT54G v2.0 and I put v23 on it. Wow! Big improvements from last year. Way to go Brainslayer :thumb:
