    Good evening guys,

im having as stated above a WRT54G running with HyperWRT Stable 2.0.

Im running a W2003 Server in my LAN with configurated VPN L2TP with IPSec. But i cant connect from WAN to this VPN, it works from LAN.
Ive set Passthru for L2TP and IPSec to enabled but it doesnt work. Also forwarded ports 1701 and 500.

Now im asking myself if i should change my firmware, but which should i choose? And how do i know that then my VPN does work?

Would be great if some1 could help me.

K, i believe the port u need to forward is 500, not 550

aaargs my mistake, my mistake
ive had 500 all the time i only wrote 550 - args looks like i was alittle bit on drugs
    sorry hehe

So you think its not the actual firmwares fault? Or should i switch to another?

i have a hard time believing its the firmware but its pretty easy and quick trying to flash it, give that a shot. I'd try re-flashing it and wipe all the settings and re-configure them just to eliminate the possibility that you are missing something simple.
Ive used Alchemy, Satori, Talisman and now DD_WRT and i've never had a problem with VPN passthrough although i dont think hyperwrt is the cause.

What are you using on server 2003 for the VPN? what kind of settings
