    I have a customer with a WAG200g ADSL router connected to a newnet adsl circuit.

    The customer has been issued with a block of public facing IP's and I am struggling to route these to the internal network.

    The router is running version 1.01.04 of the Linksys firmware (RFC 2364 PPPoA), and according to Linksys support I should be following ; http://www.linksysdata.com/ui/WAG200G/1.00.09/help/h_AdvRouting.htm to build the IP tables.

    Currently ;

    Router 80.XXX.XXX.193

    Usable IP's 80.XXX.XXX.194 - 80.XXX.XXX.206

    I have built a rule as follows ;

    Destination IP Address , 80.XXX.XXX.200
    Subnet ,
    Gateway 80.XX.XXX.193
    Hop Count 1

    The router appears to accept the route , but it does not show in the Routing Table.

    A ping running to the public IP does not receive any packets back unless the router is preparing to reboot.

    Linksys technical support have stated they do not offer any assistance with this configuration but can confirm the router is capable of routing public IP ranges.

    Any ideas, as im pulling my hair out.

    On other ADSL modems you just select no-NAT, give the modem one IP and specify that as the Gateway for your other machines with static IPs, don't see why you need special routing.

    Yes, you would think this is correct, but it does not appear to be.

    It appears that half of the Advanced Routing menu is missing as the rules do not get built correctly.

    The only time the network routing is correct is when the Linksys is updating its configuration and preparing to reboot. Then you can traceroute/ping to the IP's , at all other times access is denied.
  4. Hi, did you manage to make any progress with this issue? I have the same problem.

    From Linksys technical support, this feature is fully supported in the latest beta firmware - however I ran out of time and had to provide the customer with a working solution which unfortunately wasn't Linksys kit.

    If you have a live chat with Linksys TS , they will give you the URL for the firmware - would be interesting to know if this did work.
