I've had a WAG354G for a couple of weeks now and recently it's seemed to have developed this issue of giving me high ping spikes in games such as DoD:S and BF2. Additionally I can't seem to keep a constant connection to the router/internet : what happens is that anything on the internet suddenly becomes unreachable but the wireless still shows as being connected. Occasionally I do loose the connection.

If I ping the router constantly I notice that most packets return as around 2-5ms but there will be some in the 100-500ms range.

Any ideas whats goign on? I've got a WMP54G PCI card with the latest drivers using WZC. The router's firmware has also been updated to 1.01.15 and I've tried reboots and factory defaults. I also bought one of those massive 7dbi antennas and it makes no difference  .

I was trying to sort this problem out for a while. Am using WAG54G V2 but suspect it might be the same issue. Game is BF2. I found the solution to lag spikes every 30 seconds or so was to turn on DMZ hosting and turn off QoS. After this my connection runs fine.
