WAG354G problems

    Hi please can someone help me?
    I have recently bought a WAG354G modem and updated to the latest firmware for it
    i am haveng trouble with my internet connection dropping out when downloading at high speeds.
    I am also having trouble with slow transfers on msn messenger which msn say is probably my NAT or firewall causing the problem. i have disabled the firewall in the modem but it makes no difference
    Another problem i have is my VOIP is not working properly. i can make outgoing calls but cant recieve incomming which again i am being told is probably my NAT or firewall causing the problem

    Any ideas on how to overcome the problems and set the thing up properly

    have u setup NAT rules?

    Yes you must redirect needed port (see application and gamming in the router admin pages)

    thanks for the replies.

    icest0rm. How do i set up nat rules?

    booly. i have opened up the ports on the router. finally after several hours got my voip to work on all pc's on the network but i am still having trouble with MSN it doesnt matter what settings i change on either the pc or the router it makes no difference. the transfers start fast and after a few seconds they slow right down. takes about an hour to send a 5MB file.

    try enabling UPNP if it's not enabled yet

    you can check if Messenger has detected UPnP by clicking the
    Tools menu, then Options, then Connection category.

    hi. UPnP is enabled and msn has detected that i am connected through a UPnP IP restricted NAT
