I checked the voltage of the adapter that was supplied with my WAG54G. I have a lot of wireless dropouts (I think I tried everything). I don't know why, but I decided to check the voltage of the adapter. And surprisingly that one gave 15V instead of 12V.
I cheked on what voltage the gateway started working, and found out it runs on 9V.

Let's see what happens with the temperature and the dropouts now. So far, so good.

Same as before. Still wireless dropouts....
Only if more than one wireless client starts to work...

This kind f hadware as internal linear regulator to generate 5, 3.3 and 1.8 voltages.

Using 15V power supply intsead of 12 increase the powe dissipated by the regulator by 56 %

    It wont solve anything
