WAG54G as an access point only

    I have a v1 WAG54G that I no longer use.
Does anyone know if this can be configured as a simple wireless access point? Don't need routing, encryption or anything like that.

I have a new BT-supplied wireless router (Ewire?) but the signal doesn't reach the furthest points in my house (the range on the WAG54G by the way was worse and it suffered frequent signal drops).
I am using a pair of Homeplug 85Mbs powerline bridges now to make a physical connection to equipment in my front room but if I could plug the WAG or another access point into the remote Homeplug device then it would give me a lot more wirelss options around the rest of the house.

I could sell the WAG on eBay of course and buy a cheap access point but I thought if I already had equipment that could be re-purposed then it would make more sense.

Anyone have any ideas on this?
