Hello. I'm finishing my degree and must do my degree proyect. It's about getting an open source (I chosed tomato), and modify it so that I can get a transparent Wake On Lan. I mean, If I want to use, for instance,a desktop remote control, I don't have to do first a WOL if the PC is off, because the router detects it and do it automatically, with no action from me.

That's the whole point I must do.

To get that target I'm afraid I'm going to need some help in some steps. It's posibly that it already exist, so it would be nice for me because I can take a look.

Any advices? Which tomato source should I take? I know Tomato-raf has the WOL, should I take it?

I've got 2 router to play with, "E3000" and "WRT160NL".

I'm gonna need some help in the way of downloading the repository. I may follow this steps " http://www.linksysinfo.org/index.php?threads/common-tomato-mod-repository.28029/#post-134583 ".

Thank you very much. All you are doing a very interesting thing in all of that and it would be nice in learning some skills in what you are doing guys.

WRT160NL uses an Atheros chipset, so Tomato doesn't support it. There are special builds for the E3000 however.

Does anyone know if it is already build that thing I'm talking about? the one with automatic WOL?
