I have a brand new WAP54G v2.0 - Connected to a switch that is connected to a Windows Server 2000 DHCP Server.

The WAP is set to a static ip address on the network, no WEP. Any wireless clients that try to connect can see the WAP, but they do not recieve an IP address.

I can unplug the WAP from the network and plug in my laptop and recieve an IP address just fine.

    Any ideas?

Try power cycling the WAP54G (i.e. power it down and then up) and see if you can get an IP address.

I tried power cycling and still no IP addresses.

Also, I posted this in the wrong forum if someone wants to move it.

I had a similar problem. Could get an IP through LAN but not wireless.

Turned out that my wireless headphones were the cause.

Unplugged the wireless headphones and got a rock-solid connection.

    Good luck...Bill
