    Hey All,

I am trying to setup a WAP54G so that it connects to a WRT54G as a bridge or repeater. I have two computers downstairs that are connected to WRT54G. I took the wireless MAC address and added it to firmware in the upstairs computer that is connected to a switch, which runs to the WAP54G. All lights are on and everything looks good on the WAP, but no access to the net. I pinged the WAP and all is good. I tried pinging the WRT and nothing. I've checked channel settings, etc. and all are setup correctly.

I think the problem may be when I'm saving settings on the WAP, it just states that there's no internet connection and I think the settings aren't saving. I think I must be missing something very easy because everyone seems to have no problems with this, but now I'm just beating my head against the wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to enter the MAC address of the WRT54G, when setting it up as a bridge. You have the use the MAC address of the wireless part of the WRT54G, which has three MAC addresses. What type of encrytption are you using and what is the firmware version both the WRT54G and the WAP54G and are you using third pay firmware.
