What is the simultaneous client connection limit of a stock WAP54G? I'm seeing all of the clients drop off during what I expect are times of high usage.

I've got 3 WAP54G, still on the factory firmware, recently purchased and deployed in a corporate environment.

All of the WAPS are on different channels, but they're using the same SSID and WPA2-personal key. They're all about 40-50' apart, but one is on the floor below, and the two on the main floor are seperated by 3 metal-stud walls.

Previously I was using WRT54GS with DD-WRT 0.23SP2, and I could see that approximately 30 clients were associated with each access point.

We are testing out the WAP54G devices to see if the stock firmware and simpler hardware would be more reliable in our application than DD-WRT. So far, not.

Does anyone have any advice or stats to share?

    Anybody? Bueller?

Is this an unknown quantity? Or not worthy of discussion?
