my Nintendo DS is connecting to the wireless LAN but is not receiving packets (responses to arp requests from the default gateway are not being seen).

Are there any known issues with getting the Nintendo DS talking on the wireless network connecting to a WAP54G? Are there any settings that need to be changed to facilitate this?

I know the DS works fine as it connects no problem to my wireless LAN at work and happily talks out to the internet.

You have to a a DHCP server on the wired network you connected the WAP54G to.

I hard coded an ip address to the DS so no dhcp server is required.
The weird thing is - my PC on the wireless network can see the packets (using ethereal) but the DS never acknowledges them. :(

update - if I change my ds settings so that it is trying to talk to my pc, not my default router, then I have the same fault . ie the arp requests come in from the DS, the replies go out from the PC, but the DS just keeps on requesting as though it never received the replies. It is like the WAP54G is not forwarding on the replies or as though it is not forwarding them on in a DS compatible format.

    Thanks for the help.
I sorted it - it was predictably my own dumb fault. I had changed the TX key from the default of 1 to 2. The DS only supports 1 so changing it back resolved the problem.
