One of the info threads is on how to convert the WAN port to a LAN port. I am using one Buffalo Router with Tomato as the main router and need the WAN port for the internet, another Buffalo with Tomato as a wireless bridge, WDS, client for an entertainment center, xbox, Toshiba HD-DVD player. THere was a suggestion to when DHCP server is turned off, it will automatically turn the WAN port into a LAN port. Anyone know if that's been done? Should would be nice for the client router that does not need a WAN port to have this done internally.

I do not believe so, when you here of folks turning the wan into a lan port it is because they are running 3rd pary firmware and manually configure the interface via the command line to be on the same local bridge as the lan ports.

Yes there is a nice thread on using telenet and nvram settings, etc. Would be nice if it was automatic when using any of the wireless modes that disable the WAN port.
