Weird, bandwidth monitor is not showing my network transfer..

Just now I was testing to see if I could get the router to lock up by transferring a large file over wireless, and ethernet to the other PC to see if my router suffers from the problem that the wrt54g 2.2's does. It doesn't seem to, and the speeds for both connection methods are correct.

However, in real time bandwidth monitor.. I can see the data being transferred over WIRELESS to LAN.

But when I plugged the notebook in also, and did a LAN to LAN transfer, no data at all is moving in bandwidth real-time monitor.

It is moving for sure though, my PC displays the speed the data is moving at.

Is this a bug in Tomato? Or is there something I am not understanding?

It's not a bug in Tomato.

When transferring from LAN to WLAN, the processor is involved because they are physically separate networks. However, when transferring from LAN to LAN, the switch hardware does all the work and the processor doesn't see any of it. So it can't count that transfer.

Even if it could, that value wouldn't necessarily be correct. If you have another switch in your LAN, you could easily transfer data over the LAN without any packets even making it to the router.
