Weird PoE port to PoE Switch Port Problem

I don't know if anyone has seen this before, but if you have I would certainly like to hear about it! I recently installed an ASA 5505 at a customer site.

The ASA 5505 has a built-in 8 port switch with two PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports, ports e0/6 and e0/7. I set up VLAN trunking on port e0/7 and connected it to a port on a Catalyst 3560 switch whose ports are all PoE. The port would come up fine. I could ping around to different IP addresses on other VLANs then suddenly I would lose connectivity. The customer's VoIP network, whose phones are all powered by the PoE switch, would all lose connectivity to their Nortel BCM (Business Call Manager). I was able to duplicate this behaviour on another PoE port on the ASA. When I moved the trunk over to a non-PoE port on the ASA 5505, everything came up and stayed up! I was able to duplicate this on another PoE port on the ASA 5505.

Question: Has anyone else had a similar experience when connecting a PoE switch port to another switch's PoE port? Am I missing something? Is this something you can't do?
