I understand that Afterburner "breaks" WDS, but can it be used with WET? I have a Linksys WRT54GL running Tomato 1.18 and am considering deploying another for two wired devices at the opposite end of the house.

After reading through the forum some more, it appears that Afterburner/Speedbooster doesn't offer much real-world benefit. Is that the general consensus?

That is my consensus anyway. However, I do use Afterburner Auto with WDS, and it does not break it - I just don't know if it's really working...

I would think that Afterburner would work with WET, as the router running Tomato is now just a PC with a wireless network card. Try it perhaps.

I have found out that turning Afterburner on reduces my throughput in either the WDS or WEB mode.

    Afterburner on: around 20Mbits/sec
    Afterburner off: around 25Mbits/sec
