I have a V2 WET11 with firmware 2.08. I am trying to change my channel to anything other than 6 (the default) but the channel box is greyed out. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    WET11 Channel

From what I understand you can not change this channel manually.
When you program an SSID for it to connect to the WET11 will search all channels for this SSID and will automatically change it's radio channel to the correct channel.

In Setup Screen, the "Network Type" pop-up menu, select "Ad-hoc" instead of "Infrastructure". That should un-grey the channel setting. Having it on "Infrastructure" makes the bridge auto-detect the channel being used to connect to a router (like WRT54G).

Well - it seems theres a problem for european users

    Hi all,

    I recently bought 3 x WET-11 V2's as a precursor to buying >200 of them for a special project.

I have the latest firmware, and they are EU versions.

It seems that in infrastructure mode, these new V2's only support channels 1-11! tut tut Messrs Linksys !

Hereabouts the 2.4Ghz band is so crowded we have to operate a 4 channel frequency reuse pattern (which you can do in Europe) based around channels 1,5,9,13. (as opposed to 1 6 11 in the US)

I have spoken to Linksys tech support, they concur it is a "feature" and do not presently have a solution.

So If you need to interwork with APs on channels 12 and 13 DO NOT BUY A WET11 V2 - presently they are "not fit for purpose" in the EU
