What do you think of my passive cooling...

    solution for my WRT54GL router ?. When using my router I noticed that the main chip got rather hot. So I placed a heatsink on the chip using some thermal paste and a spring clip from an old cpu cooler. The result is shown on the pictures. My theory is that a cooler chip is alway's better for the operation of the router and it's a cheap solution.

    That looks nice.
    Does the cover still fits on top of it?
    If yes, how do you plan on taking the hot air out of the case?

    Yes, the cover still fits. I think I put a 40mm fan ....

    on the inside of the front to suck the hot air out.
