    I play around with the thought to connect a yagi antenna to my WRT54G for my WDS bridge.

    But the WRT54G has two antenna interfaces and I just wanna connect one yagi antenna to each of my routers.

    Does it matter where to connect it? Left or right? Will I have to remove the 2nd antenna so that only the yagi is used? Or will the use of only one antenna even damage my router?
    (I talked some time ago with a cisco engineer and he advised me not to run an aironet 1200 with one antenna without disabling it in the configuration).

    I would use the right antenna. If you use standard Linksys v4.20 firmware, antenna selection will be automatic.

    WRT54g v1, v1.1, v2 => look from the backside and connect the right one.

    WRT54g v2.2 v3 3.1 v4 => seen from the frontside.

    If the selection is automatic, why choose the right one?
